I am a senior lecturer at the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. I work in the area of computer vision. We have been working on routing algorithms, improving convolutional layers, tracking, re-identification, few-shot learning, and contrastive learning. The applications include self-driving, robotics, and surveillance. We currently we are focusing on predictive world models, vision-language navigation, multi-modal learning, and out-of-distribution generalization.

Ranga Rodrigo is an alumnus of Maris Stella College, Negombo, Sri Lanka. He obtained his B.Sc. Eng. degree with first class honors in year 2001 from the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, and M.E.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Western University, Canada, in year 2004 and 2008 respectively with Prof. Jagath Samarabandu. His research interests are in the general area of computer vision and deep learning for vision. Currently, he is with the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, as a Senior Lecturer. He is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), USA.
